Met with Erica, the owner of The Lotus Boutique, today - what an incredible woman! With a toddler and a brand new baby she is still able to run an amazing shop featuring her own beautiful handmade jewelry, organic adult and children's clothing, natural body care, unique gifts, eco-friendly towels, pillows, bedding and kitchen items and so much more!!! As of today she is also carrying the Lotus Blossom line of earth friendly paper goods!

Stop by The Lotus Boutique between 12 - 5 pm Tuesdays through Saturdays (Erica is usually there on Saturdays) and see her wonderful assortment of environmentally friendly and locally made goods.

Tai Kerbs - Danielle Siano

Tai Kerbs - an amazing local photographer I met recently has started using my 9 x 9 Cotton Albums for her wedding shoots and my  8 x 8 Daisy Album for kid photo shoots. She also displayed one of my albums at The Wedding Salon bridal show in Beverly Hills last month - thank you Tai!

I used her beautiful images in my wedding display at the Jill Of All Trades show recently and highly recommend her - she is not only a talented artist, but a genuinely good person who supports local artists and the environment.

I met Tai through a friend, WEV classmate and talented graphic designer - Danielle Siano. Danielle is one of the most caring women I have ever met, is incredibly talented and has done incredible work for a number of non-profits including the Surfrider Foundation, The Museum of Natural History, Ty Warner Sea Center and more.

Jill Of All Trades Update

The Jill Of All Trades Show was a blast! I met some amazing artists, incredible photographers and wonderful people. Thank you to everyone that came by and supported the event and bravo to all of the participating artists - what a brilliantly unique mix of mediums, styles and creations!

I would especially like to mention a few wonderful people that really made an impact on me that day -

James and Loredana - two amazing local photographers; I will add a link to their new site as soon as it is available. (James' awesome photography can be seen at www.jamesdewhirst.com)

Alisa Landman who owns Alicat Creations - such a sweet lady who creates incredibly beautiful hats, tops, shawls and more. Her unique button jewelry is fun and bright for adults and children (by the way her kids are adorable too!). She and her husband offer awesome printed shirts (the cap sleeve shirt with the octopus print is my favorite!) and so much more!

Laughing Lotus Designs offered simply gorgeous fine beaded jewelry created by Susan Cameron - her natural stones, beautiful findings and color choices just begged to be touched and tried on!

Jay and Melanie - two incredible local photographers who not only take adorable photos of babies and children, but clothe them with their awesome line of funky and alternative kids clothing. Their photography site is www.weissman-rush.smugmug.com and their clothing is a new line under the name of Skullastic Ink. Their clothing line is like nothing else out there - it is a new business (Jay and Melanie are also in my SET class through WEV here in Santa Barbara) and it is definitely worth checking out for your little ones, friends and family!

Molly Gleason - Thank you - both for your support and for sharing your wonderful ideas, contacts and information! Molly is working on a new business idea and I will definitely be posting more information on that when she is up and running - I'll just say that it is an incredible idea that will offer something new, unique and wonderful to the community!

Finally, thank you again to Kenny Osehan - the sweet, cheerful and beautiful owner of the Presidio Motel who managed to pull everyone together for this wonderful day! If you haven't made it by yet, you need to stop by and check out the incredibly unique art inspired rooms!

New Products

I've been working on some new albums - this one is a modern design with organic cotton vellum inserts between each page to protect the photos. The pictures are mounted onto the pages using clear photo corners, which are available at most art and craft stores. The photos inside the album (not the product photos) are by Jose Villa Photography; if you haven't heard of him please check out his site www.josevillaphoto.com for your child and wedding photography needs!

Jill Of All Trades

I will be participating in the Jill Of All Trades Show at the Presidio Motel on Saturday September 27th from 11 am until 7 pm. Come and check out the boutique motel with its custom painted rooms (every room is unique), see the works of local women artists and listen to live music. This is the second annual Jill Of All Trades show and is expected to be even greater than last year!
